Top 4 Ways to Avoid a Google Panda Slap in Near Future

2If your website hasn’t seen the wrath of Google Panda update, then consider yourself lucky! Sure thing, you may say that you don’t scrap contents, and publish only high quality information on your websites/blogs, so why should you really care! Well, the reality is that there’s more to a Panda slap than just dupe content. So, here are 3 ways to avoid a Panda penalty in near future.
1. Checking the Title and SEO Tiles of All Pages
Regular titles and SEO titles of all your web pages should ideally be unique, and compelling. Now, if you have an old website, then manually checking all the titles through the sitemap can be a daunting task. So, you can always make use of some SEO tools.
What I personally do to analyse the title tags of various pages of my site is that I export title tag data from a free tool called Screaming Frog in excel sheet. Lot of pages on your website with similar titles and contents can also potentially invite a Panda slap over the years, so you must avoid that at all costs.
2. Controlling the Bounce Rate and Paying Attention to Online Reputation
Very high bounce rate in the tune of 70-80% can also increase the chances of a Panda penalty, because that represents extremely poor levels of user engagement. In such cases, you won’t get a lot of social votes either, and that can again work against your favour, and increase the likelihood of a Panda slap in near future.
It’s equally important to pay attention to your online reputation as well. In rare cases, people might start discussing negative stuff about your website, and if the negative publicity grows to high levels, it could even trigger a manual review of your website, which may ultimately lead to a Google ban!
So, it’s important to see what others are saying about your website, and clean up your online reputation if there’s a lot of negativity around! Once again, you need to pay attention to the root cause, and not just try to get those negative comments deleted by hook or by crook!
 3. Dealing with Negative Comments
When someone drops a comment on your site, pointing out a mistake, don’t just delete the comment, and try to hide your mistake, but rather than the person, and acknowledge your mistake, and fix it immediately!
4. Pay Attention to Overall Quality of Contents of Website
So, if you really want to improve the online reputation of your website, it’s time to pay attention to titles and descriptions of all the existing pages, adding a new life to your social media marketing efforts, and dealing with the negative stuff in a professional manner.
Remember that unless you don’t add value to the visitors, and focus on brand building, you’ll never be able to make it big!
