Samsung Galaxy S6: Receives Android 5.1.1 Update

Samsung has been working for several weeks on a new update for the Galaxy S6 and S6 for the Galaxy Edge. Thanks to them, these two terminals will soon be able to enjoy all the improvements made by Android 5.1.1. The first time the users of the device based in France are getting a taste of the updated Lollipop ROM.

It’s not really a surprise, but the South Korean giant has opted for a phased deployment. The update is not available for everyone. The opportunity to discover some new features of this version of Lollipop as a reminder, the Galaxy European S6 turned previously under Android 5.0.2. One could expect a correction of memory leak problem, The bug is still present. The new features are so rare in the interface and must turn to the Galaxy S6 of photo features to find interesting details.

The Pro mode of the stock application allows, among other things, set the ISO sensitivity of the camera, but currently it is not possible to go above 100 ISO. With this update, you can finally change the brightness of your photos with a simple gauge placed next to the shutter release.

Now for the bad part: the device is plagued with the problem that RAM is likely to persist; the phone booths with 58% of RAM used which quickly rockets to over 80% when you start using the phone. Mobile users at Samsung hoping to get rid of the problem.

And then for RAW? As suggested by recent rumors dated, Samsung has unfortunately ignored it and it will have to wait the launch of the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for the option to appear. Not sure it makes fun with the brand’s customers. Furthermore, it appears that the management of RAM is still disastrous, but it will wait until the update in the hands to get to the bottom.

To install, simply go to the settings of your terminal and go poking in the menu dedicated to updates. Be careful though, because the beautiful weighs more than 600MB and it is better to connect via WiFi before starting the download. You should expect this latest update it to start appearing in other parts of the world in the coming days and weeks.
