Watch out with Retina-iMacs from 2015 or 2017
Although the first iMac Retina was released in 2015, Apple has provided the model with an upgrade in 2017. Always look carefully at the year in which these iMac Retina’s were originally built. The 2017 model is equipped with the newer Kaby Lake processors and run on a newer (better) Bluetooth version. The speed of the 2017 model is also higher than that of 2015. Of course you can also see this reflected in the price.
How Big should the Screen be?
Many refurbished iMacs currently being sold have screen sizes of 21.5-, 24- and 27-inches and were built in 2012 and 2013. When you have regular various programs open at the same time, a large screen is so nice. You have all the space to perform them side by side and no detail escapes you. In addition, the basic specifications of the 27-inch iMac are better than those of the smaller models. This makes it more powerful and more suitable for performing heavy (graphic) tasks.
Resolutions: do you go for Full-Hd or the Newer and Sharper ‘Retina’
iMac screens have different resolutions. Since refurbished models are used, sellers often do not offer the latest models. Refurbished iMacs therefore often have full-hd or wqhd screens. These models came on the market before 2014.
