How To Best Care For Your Retail Display Cases

If you already have retail display cases inside your outlet then the chances are that you already know how important they can be to your business. Displays are known to pique the interest of shoppers and can lure them into the store which increase the chance of them actually buying something. However, many owners are not aware of the best methods to care for their cases and if you are like them, then you must continue reading!

  1. Make sure you protect the internal area of the retail display cases

It is a fact that many retail display cases are made out of glass especially internally where the owner would usually place their products in to display them. While the glass might look very fashionable and elegant, there is nothing that would turn away your customers more than for them to see scratches on the glass.

That is why for every new and old cases that you have, you should put in some protection to ensure the glass does not get damaged. No matter how careful you are, scratches can happen when you are lifting and placing objects on them so if you protect them by putting out a layer of cloth of plastic sheet, your glass will not be harmed.

  1. Never ever use chemical grade cleaners

The one mistake that most retail owners make when cleaning out their retail display cases is to use very heavy duty cleaning chemicals. While glass is impervious to liquids, dangerous chemicals can actually cause them to break easily or to make them discolor. Would you really want your customers to focus on the dirty and discolored areas on your glass display when they really should be paying attention to the products you have to offer?

You don’t need to go nuts when you need to clean your retail cases. All you really need is some micro-fiber cloth and with some regular soap and water mixed together. Simply dampen the cloth and proceed to washing the glass with it. It’s really that simple and you will not have to worry about whether the soap will cause any damage to your glass!

  1. Dust often and thoroughly

You don’t need to wash your retail display cases as often as you need to dust them. Micro-debris and other dust-like particles can easily accumulate over time. They can then form a rough surface that can potentially scratch your glass if you are not careful enough when you place objects on top of them.

This is why you will need to dust your retail case very regularly to ensure the dust inside is kept to a minimum.
