4G Smartphones: The Best To Come This Year

Smartphones have come a long way in last few years. From the days of making a standard phone call and to apps, docs and games, things have changed a lot across different parts of the world. Even in India, we had a slow run for years. Wasting minutes for logging into Facebook or sending an email was quite monotonous, but it all got better in the nick of time with one of the best experiences of high-speed internet. A big welcome to modern technology!

We’ve already seen what internet’s latest upgrade; 4G is capable of doing. It’s faster and more reliable than 3G and is spreading far and wide at a great pace. But, the best is yet to come. 4G Mobiles with advanced LTE capabilities are making their way, promising blazing download and upload speeds. We’ve witnessed some mind-boggling 4G players, but it’s always better to keep a track of what more is to come in 2016.

Having that said, let’s take an in-depth look on the list of upcoming 4G phones in India:

Samsung Galaxy A9 – Expected Price INR 30,000

Unveiled in December 2015, Samsung Galaxy A9 is still on the waiting list for an India launch. The device incorporates advanced Cat.4 LTE technology, and makes a great package with a razor sharp full-HD Super AMOLED display of 6-inches, and an immensely powerful Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor. It pairs with 3GB RAM, Adreno 510 GPU, and 32GB built-in-storage, and delivers seamless performance on all networks. Plus, just like other members of A series, it comes with a sleek and slim metal body with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 4. Samsung Galaxy A9 promises 4G downloads up to 150Mbps, and runs on a fairly impressive 4000mAh sealed inside.

LG G5- Expected Price INR 60,000

The successor of G4, LG G5 comes with a unique hardware and software package. The device incorporates a strong set of specs with advanced LTE, but steals the show with a modular form-factor that looks and feels totally different. Its meticulously crafted body allows you to expand hardware capabilities with added expansion modules touted as Hi-Fi Plus with B&O Play and CAM Plus.

Along with this, on the specification’s side, the 2016 flagship includes all major elements such as a sharp Quad-HD Display with 3D Arc Glass, a powerful Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM, and a 16MP + 8MP dual camera setup on the rear and 8-megapixels on the front. It holds decent power backup with a removable 2800 mAh battery, and pairs up with advanced 3.0 tech as well.

Sony Xperia X Performance- Expected Price INR 45,000

After dropping the Z moniker, Sony looks set to unleash its all new Xperia X Performance in the Indian market. Launched at MWC 2016, company’s latest premium offering incorporates a strong set of specs with a profile that gives reminiscence of its last flagship. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the box with a tweaked interface, and promises a top-of-the line performance with Qualcomm’s latest in the line Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor, with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

Xperia X Performance sports a full-HD Triluminos display, and delivers blazing fast download and upload speeds with advanced Cat.9 LTE technology that comes with the likes of renowned high-end devices.

HTC 10 – Expected Price INR 50,000

After immense confusion, Taiwanese giant HTC has confirmed that its latest flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. The new beauty from the company boasts a prolific set of internals with a design that looks like a mix of One M9 and One A9. It sports a lifelike Quad-HD Super LCD5 display of 5.2-inches and makes use of Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC, with 4GB RAM and 32/64GB inbuilt storage. HTC has not only improved its design strategy, but has also given a major bump-up to the camera department. The pixel count on the rear camera has been reduced to 12-megapixels with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, while front-facing snapper retains the same 5-megapixel sensor but with f/1.8 and OIS. HTC 10 is rumoured to show up in Q2 at price just under or around 50k.

Mi 5 Pro- Expect Price INR 30,000

Xiaomi has unveiled the standard edition of its latest flagship, but the Pro variant is still under the wraps for Indian buyers. The device looks identical to the low-end avatar, but packs a punch with improved internals to play with. It incorporates a true-to-life 5.15-inch Full-HD display protected with Gorilla Glass 4, and runs on Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM and 128 gigs inbuilt storage. Xiaomi hasn’t given any word on the pricing or availability of this phone, but considering the prolific set of specs, we expect it show up somewhere around 30k in Indian currency.

Mi 5 Pro features a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with OIS and a 4-megapixel front-facing shooter with same aperture and 2µm pixel size. It bears a 3000 mAh non-removable battery with major connectivity options and a snappy biometric scanner.

So, these are the power-packed 4G Mobiles we expect to see by the end of 2016. They all outperform renowned players and promise a complete smartphone experience with seamless performance. Advanced LTE tech not only upgrades download and upload speeds, but also creates an ideal ecosystem for nonstop work and play, which we all need.

In a nutshell, as 4G spreads through different parts of the country, major smartphone makers will bring 4G Mobiles with upgrades to keep pace with the changes. As of now, Airtel and Vodafone are the first ones to offer 4G in India, but soon this list will grow bigger with other operators joining the party. As far as smartphone manufacturers are concerned, they’re already up for bringing well equipped devices, and will soon go bigger. Whether renowned or new players, they all will make up a package for on-the-go smartphone users and tech-buffs in India.
